Blog #1 | First Meeting of the Year

Tonight we had our first meeting of the year where we introduced all of the new SEDS members to the team! We’re so excited to have this many newcomers interested in space exploration, and in the coming weeks they’ll be pairing up with a current team member to learn the ropes of model rocketry.

In the meantime, the propulsion team has been working with our sponsor, Seneca Machine, to make a new nozzle for Runaway out of stainless steel. The thrust vectoring team has also been hard at work to create a gimbal system for Runaway which will allow us to point our engine in a wide range to steer our rocket. On the side of finance, the whole team has been contacting companies to raise funds for our rockets and conferences.

Our media team is working on creating a new set of logos, an updated sponsor packet, and a brand new website. Let us know what you think down below!
